Marcio Marques is born in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Started his music endeavor from a family background and in 90's he started studying the art of playing guitar at IGT (Institute of Guitar and Technology) in Sao Paulo which opened numerous opportunities to work as studio musician and eventually as tour guitar player as well.

 

In 1998 he moved into the United States and started attending the renamed guitar school GIT (Guitar Institute of Technology) in LA, "studying music and compositing was the best things I did in the earlier days which opened new horizons of music possibilities in my life".

Years laters he accomplished a Music Production Master Degree at Berklee College of Music without losing the guitar sight and possibilities.

During many years of music dedication he accomplished credits and performances with many musicians in the NY / NJ community including Bob Crail, Jennifer Spingola, James Lent, Monika Oliveira, Jose Paulo, Silvana Magda, Eric Galm, The Grammy Award Winning American Soul Singer Billy Paul and 5 times Blues Music Award nominee Michael Powers, along many others artists and musicians.

Few of his performances includes Lincoln Center(New York), Terra Blues(New York), Zinc Bar(New York), SOBs(New York), Village Underground(New York), Trinity College(Hartford CT), Westchester County Summer Jazz Festival(New York), Brazilian Day Festival(New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia and Miami), Luna Stage(Montclair NJ), Johnny D's uptown(Boston MA) and many others.
